Last week, we exclusively reported that Kamal Haasan and Silambarasan TR (STR) have finished dubbing for their respective portions in Mani Ratnam’s much-anticipated film ‘Thug Life’. Just an hour ago, the filmmakers released a sneak peek of ‘Ulaga Nayagan’ Kamal Haasan dubbing for the movie.
In the clip, the veteran actor is seen seated with director Mani Ratnam as they watch the rushes of their film. Towards the end of the video, they appear in a face-off set against a vast barren landscape, the same location featured in the film’s first look teaser released earlier. The dubbing session was completed ahead of the next filming schedule, which is set to begin on August 5.
‘Thug Life’ marks Kamal Haasan’s second collaboration with Mani Ratnam, 37 years after their classic film ‘Nayagan’. In this movie, Kamal Haasan plays a gangster from Kayalpattinam named Rangaraya Sakthivel Nayakar. The star-studded cast also includes Silambarasan TR, Ali Fazal, Trisha Krishnan, Nassar, Abirami, Aishwarya Lekshmi, and Vaiyapuri in significant roles.
The film is a joint production by Madras Talkies, Raaj Kamal Films International, and Red Giant Movies. AR Rahman is composing the music, while Ravi K Chandran handles the cinematography.
Fans are eagerly awaiting this cinematic collaboration between Kamal Haasan and Mani Ratnam, promising an epic tale of power and intrigue set in the world of gangsters.
